Senior Shopping Buddies

Need a little neighborly help during the COVID-19 outbreak?

The City of Cleburne along with our community partners have developed a plan so that seniors living within the city limits can stay safe at home and have their groceries delivered to their door through the SENIOR SHOPPING BUDDIES program.

Those seniors that can order their groceries through online ordering can contact the SENIOR SHOPPING BUDDIES volunteers to have their order picked up and delivered to their door.

For those seniors that do not have online ordering capabilities, their shopping list can be left outside in a designated area with money for the groceries. The BUDDY will go to the store and attempt to fill as much of the order as possible through available supplies. The groceries along with their change will be left at the door.

There will be no direct contact between the senior and their BUDDY. All BUDDIES will remain at least 6 feet away and will be wearing protective mask and gloves. Your BUDDY is not allowed inside your home. All volunteers must be vetted through the SENIOR SHOPPING BUDDIES protocol.

Call 817-648-8914 if you need a SHOPPING BUDDY.

If you cannot volunteer but would like to contribute by your gifts, please contact any of these local charities:
