Gayle White was elected in May 2009 as the council representative for Single Member District 2. Gayle graduated from the Cleburne Citizen Police Academy and worked with the Fire Department and City Council on material and vehicle requirements for first response personnel. She also worked with the City of Cleburne as a volunteer, assisting evacuees from Louisiana.
Gayle is a nurse and worked as an LVN, charge nurse, staff nurse in ICU and surgery, and as an office nurse for Dr. Marlin Hansen and Dr. Steven Gates. She continues to hold a current license as an LVN. Gayle retired in 2004 as co-owner of a mechanical contracting business. Gayle is a member of Rotary Club, serving on Board of Directors, a member of Chamber of Commerce, past Board of Directors member, and served as a Chamber Ambassador. Gayle as also served on two city boards; the Airport Board for two years and Planning and Zoning Commission for four years. She also served on the Kiwanis Club Board as Treasurer. Gayle and her husband, Curtis, have five children: six grandsons and one granddaughter. They have resided in Cleburne since 1976 and are members of Field Street Baptist Church.
