Dale Sturgeon is currently representing Single Member District 3 after being elected as councilmember in May 2009. Dale received a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He earned his Master of Education in guidance and counseling from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. Currently, Dale is serving as Counselor for Joshua High School. In the past he has served as Counselor for Burleson High School, Kerr Middle School in Burleson, and Daggett Middle School in Ft. Worth. Dale loves music and taught music in all five Cleburne elementary schools.
He holds Texas Education Agency Certifications in: secondary music, all-level music, counselor, and principal. Dale served on the City of Cleburne’s Building and Standards Commission for four years and was chairman of the commission during fourth year. Currently, Dale is serving on the Bethel Temple Church Board and served in the office of Board Secretary. Dale and wife, Karen, have three children: Kaitlin, Lyndsey, and Ricky. The Sturgeons have lived in Cleburne since 1995 and are members of Bethel Temple Assembly of God church.
