Project Information: The City of Cleburne will be starting construction projects affecting Nolan River Road beginning August 17th and lasting for 9-12 months. The construction work will consist of installing a water line that will delineate the boundary between the upper and lower pressure planes for the drinking water system. The water line will be installed from Surry Place Dr. to Henderson St.
Once the water line installation is complete, Nolan River Road will be reconstructed and repaved. The new road will consist of 8 inches of treated subgrade and 8 inches of asphalt. This is significantly more robust than the existing roadway and we expect that major road construction on South Nolan River Rd. will not be necessary for many years.
To complete the project, the city with funding participation from TxDOT, will construct five foot wide sidewalks along Nolan River Rd. The sidewalk project will begin at Harlin Dr. near the high school and will end at Country Club Rd. near Lowell Smith Middle School.
Justification: The construction work will consist of installing a water line that will delineate the boundary between the upper and lower pressure planes for the drinking water system.
