Solar Eclipse Viewing Glasses

Monday, August 21, 2017

View the Eclipse Safely! Free viewing glasses to the first 200 patrons who visit the Cleburne Public on August 21 who want to view the eclipse. Pick up your glasses here, then go outside or wherever you desire to view. We will distribute the glasses beginning at 10:00 AM An eclipse is a rare and striking phenomenon you won’t want to miss, but you must carefully follow safety procedures. Come to the library to pick up your Eclipse viewing glasses beginning at 10:00 AM. You can also see a model of an eclipse to help understand what is occurring! A short safety video will also be shown as needed throughout the morning and you can get printed safety instructions in English or Spanish! The eclipse in our area is not a total eclipse; it will be about an 80% partial eclipse. In our area, the eclipse will begin at 11:40 AM and contunue until 2:39 PM. The MAX ECLIPSE in our area will be at 1:10 PM.
