National Night Out
Tuesday, October 4, 2022
Give neighborhood crime a “going away” party.
The Cleburne Police Department is encouraging residents in neighborhoods throughout the city to turn on their porch lights on that day and spend the evening outside with neighbors, police officers, firefighters and other first responders. Grab your snacks, grill, some games and have some fun!
National Night Out (NNO) is an annual community-building campaign and celebration, sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
It is held annually on the first Tuesday of October. The next National Night Out will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
The campaign encourages people throughout the nation to come outside and join their neighbors in giving neighborhood crime a “going away” party.
If you would like to participate and take a proactive stance against crime, please register for National Night Out in your neighborhood by Friday, Sept. 20. Get details here.
