[ARCHIVED] The Grand Texas Airshow was a major success!!

Thank you Cleburne for coming out to the Grand Texas Airshow! They say it takes a village and The Cleburne Regional Airport would like to thank those that without their help the show would not have happened. The 4 1/2 inches of rain that we received that morning eliminated our parking areas at the airport for the show.

City Manager Steve Polasek and Denise Jones stepped in and helped plan a course of action that made the show possible.

Cletran drivers came in and transported participants to and from the High School and our volunteers took turns driving 2 vans. Many thanks to CISD for opening up the parking areas!

The street department helped with mowing and staging of the parking areas the week of the Airshow. Clint Dean and James Baze transported tables and chairs for us. The parks department for bringing additional trash cans.

Cleburne Fire Department and PD for providing security and helping plan the traffic routes.

Gayla Harlow, Mark Zelder, Doug Kahanek, Haley Cuevas, the Bogan family, Kevin Hong, Terry Broumley, James Ebert, Emily & Jake Rollen, Karin & Don Elliot, Cheryl & Delaney Cook, Gloria McHenry, George & Wanda Ashkenazy, Leigh Ann & Randal Kahanek, Anthony, Heather & Gabriel Martinez. Airport Board members Cliff Holden & Christy Bradley, EAA Chapter 1555, the Segerstrom family, the Laveau family and Ken Spurlock family.

Again, thank you to everyone that made this possible! I really appreciate your hard work and dedication. I hope you all had a safe and wonderful 4th of July!
