Reconstruction of Woodard and Grand avenues to begin week of July 16

Woodard Grand Reconstruction MAP

The city will reconstruct Woodard Avenue and Grand Avenue to improve the condition of the roadways beginning the week of July 16.

This project will not widen the existing roadways, but will include modifications such as additional curb and gutter in various locations and concrete valley gutters to improve drainage through the intersections.

The work is expected to take 4-5 months, weather permitting with an anticipated completion by late fall. Delays should be expected during construction. Throughout the construction timeline, the contractor will close either Woodard Avenue or Grand Avenue to through traffic Monday through Friday during working hours. The roads will be open to traffic outside of working hours including evenings and weekends. The contractor will utilize flaggers, as needed, and residents will have access to their homes during the road closure, but delays should be expected.  Commuters traveling through the area should seek an alternate route. Residents should refrain from parking on Woodard Avenue, Grand Avenue, and the adjacent side streets during working hours.Woodard Grand Reconstruction MAP
