Cleburne ISD Board of Trustees awarded Cleburne Police Department its Businesses Standing Up for Public Schools for its support of the district.
The board awarded Cleburne PD and four other businesses at its meeting on Aug. 20, 2018. Cleburne Police Department works closely with CISD to assist with programs and provide school resource officers. This school year, the police department and CISD introduced the CTE Law Enforcement Practicum. This internship allows students interested in police work to receive practical application and skills in law, public safety, corrections, and security.
“We are honored to be recognized for the wonderful partnership and collaboration in place between our two entities,” Police Chief Rob Severance said.
