A leading government finance officers organization recognized the City of Cleburne’s Fiscal Year 2018 budget document.
Government Finance Officers Association has awarded the City of Cleburne their Distinguished Budget Presentation award for our Fiscal Year 2018 budget document.
This award is a significant achievement by the city, as the budget document must satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for the budget presentation as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communications device. Three governmental finance professionals from other entities reviewed Cleburne’s budget document. This award reflects the commitment of the City Council and City staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. The City of Cleburne has received the award on an annual basis for more than 20 years.
Award recipients have pioneered efforts to improve the quality of budgeting and provide an excellent example for other governments throughout North America.
