With warmer weather on the forecast, the City of Cleburne is providing a look ahead at upcoming work on Grand Avenue and Anglin Street.

The reconstruction of Grand Avenue continues. The contractor is looking at upcoming warmer weather to be able to lay new pavement from Woodard Avenue to Phillips Street. Crews look to pave a new driving surface on the roadway with the forecast showing higher temperatures later this week.

Once the contractor is finished with the reconstruction of Grand Avenue, crews will move Anglin Street to conduct mill & overlay street improvements later this month, weather permitting. The work will remove and replace the top layer of asphalt creating a refreshed driving surface.

In preparation of the road improvement operations on Anglin Street, work is planned to begin on the roadway later this week. Crews will set up detours and barricades along Anglin Street between Boone Street and Dallas Avenue.

Scheduled for this week on Anglin Street from Boone Street to Claude Avenue crews will repair the road’s subgrade across these two blocks. This work will require the closure of the roadway during construction hours but the road will reopen in the evenings. This work is anticipated to take 3-4 days if conditions allow.
