Community members test positive for COVID-19

Officials have notified the city of two confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cleburne.

Both subjects and their families are in self-isolation at home. That is all the information we have available.

We knew it was only a matter of time before confirmed cases were in the city and have taken a measured approach to combat the spread locally. In order to reduce the risk of being infected or infecting others, it takes all of us doing our part by staying at home and practicing physical/social distancing when we do need to get out.

To further our efforts against the spread of COVID-19, the Mayor plans to issue a new order later today that aligns with the Executive Order of our Governor. We will provide an overview and the mayor will address the city with a video this evening.

Together, we can protect Cleburne.
