Cleburne Golf Links to close to public April 14 by Governor’s Order

Golf Links Closed due to COVID-19

Cleburne Golf Links will close to the public on April 14, 2020 as ordered by Gov. Greg Abbott.

In an effort to combat the spread of COVID-19, Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order effective April 2, 2020 in which all non-essential services and activities are to cease. Outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and parks use are permitted under essential daily activities; however, during a recent conference call with mayors and county judges from across the state the governor stated that golf course operations are not essential and thus may not remain open. The order is in effect until April 30, 2020, but Gov. Abbott has the power to extend the regulations to combat the spread of the viral disease.

Cleburne Golf Links will close to the public on April 14. Memberships will be extended due to the closure and more details will be provided at a later date. Golf Links staff is working to notify members and those with scheduled tee times and will post signage of the closure at the facility and online.
