Cleburne businesses can receive $5,000 from a program to promote the City of Cleburne and its local businesses.
The City Council approved of the “All Aboard Cleburne” Community Promotion Program at its April 28 meeting. The program allows qualified businesses to participate in the “All Aboard Cleburne” marketing campaign to receive a one-time $5,000 payment.
“This is a creative solution to get some money into our hands of our local businesses,” said Mayor Scott Cain.
The City Council has allocated $300,000 for the program. To participate local businesses must meet several requirements including having a physical location exclusively for commercial purposes, been open prior to January 2020, and must be current on property taxes. National chains and franchises associated with a parent company are not eligible.
The program is part of a larger marketing initiative in partnership with the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce and Visit Cleburne to promote shopping, dining, staying, working, living, and playing in Cleburne.
