Cleburne Fire and Cook Children’s install lifejacket station at Lake Pat

Community Life Jacket Station at Lake Pat

Cleburne Fire Department has partnered with Cooks Children’s to provide an added safety measure for families enjoying Lake Pat Cleburne.

Staff built a community life jacket station supplied with loaner youth life jackets by the boat ramp. The station features sizing and wear instructions. Community members should return the life jackets when they are finished at the lake so other families can stay safe as well.

Drownings are the 2nd leading cause of death, nationwide, in 14 year olds and younger, according to Cook Children’s. For more information about youth water safety visit lifeguardyourchild.org.
