City of Cleburne facilities and offices will have a delayed opening at noon Thursday, Feb. 18, due to road conditions.
Sanitation
Trash pickup routes will not run Thursday. Sanitation is asking all residents to put bins on the curb by Thursday evening and trucks will run as many routes as possible through the weekend, as road conditions allow. Bulk pick-up will be delayed until all residential routes are collected. The Transfer Station will be closed on Thursday.
Conference Center Warming Shelter
The Cleburne Conference Center, 1501 W. Henderson St., remains open as an on-going warming shelter. Seating and cots are available. Visitors should bring their own bedding. Those that require assistance traveling to the center can call police dispatch at 817-645-0972.
Vaccination Hub
Cleburne Fire is allowing Thursday morning COVID-19 vaccination appointments to arrive after noon. Those with a morning appointment that feel comfortable driving can still come to the Cleburne Conference Center at the scheduled time to receive their vaccine. Staff has postponed making new appointments and will make an announcement before registration goes live in the future.
Public Safety
Police and Fire crews remain on schedule for emergencies. Police and Code Compliance officers have been working with a third-party organization to assist those without shelter. If you know someone who may need assistance or a wellness check contact police dispatch at 817-645-0972.
Public Works
Public Works crews continue to treat public roadways and maintain city services. The primary focus for treating public roadways is intersections, bridges, public safety facilities, the hospital, and heavily traveled roadways. Unlike many other communities the Cleburne Water and Waste Water Treatment plants continue under normal operations. Should that change for any reason a notice will be published online and a notification will be released through the city’s notification system. Sign up or update your info here
Parks & Recreation
Booker T. Washington Recreation Center will follow city hours with a noon opening. Splash Station and the Cleburne Golf Links remain closed.
Public Library
The Cleburne Public Library will close early at 5 p.m.
Public Transportation
City/County Transportation (CLETRAN) will not operate Thursday.
