The City of Cleburne is planning to improve more than 7-miles of roadway across 15 streets this summer.
City Council reviewed the 2021 Streets Maintenance Program in June. Work will start later this summer following formal approval.
The streets in this year’s plan include Starling Court, Wren Court, Madison Street, Featherston Street, West 2nd Street, West 3rd Street, West 4th Street, West Westhill Drive, Sabine Avenue, Chase Avenue, Pearl Street, Phillips Street, Ridgeway Drive, and North and South Colonial Drive. The city will also improve roadways in the city’s cemeteries.
Crews will use a variety of construction techniques to improve the roads based on the road’s condition. The processes range in impact including fog sealing and mill-and-overlay construction.
These efforts are part of the city’s multiyear approach to improving the streets network. Over the last couple of years, the city has resurfaced approximately 18.5 miles of roadways and reinvested $6.5 million into our street network.
