Properly dispose of household hazardous waste on June 18

Residents have the opportunity to safely dispose of household hazardous waste at an upcoming collection event.

The Crud Cruiser will roll into town from 9-11 a.m. on June 18 at the Cleburne Conference Center, 1501 W. Henderson. This is a free event for residents who provide a copy of the latest City of Cleburne utility bill and a photo ID with matching Cleburne address.

The collection will accept acids, antifreeze, old gas (<10 gal), oil filters, brake and transmission fluids, batteries, degreasers, drain cleaners, fertilizers, unbroken fluorescent light bulbs, paints and stains, thinners, varnish & solvents, herbicides, pesticides, craft, photo, and pool chemicals, and expired personal care products.

Pharmaceuticals, tires, ammunition, explosives, asbestos, medical waste, PCBs, propane or butane cylinders, smoke detectors or radioactive material, will not be accepted.
