The City of Cleburne's STARS program recognizes staff members who go above and beyond to help serve the community. The latest recipient of the All-Star Award is Tina Dunham, the director of library services.
"Tina treats our library patrons like her family,” said Amy Graham, Cleburne’s library assistant who submitted a nomination. “They are her family, and she helps them so much, even outside of these library walls.”
Dunham received a City shirt and $50 gift card for winning the award. Debra Powledge, director of human resources, said it’s a small token for the great job City employees do.
“As a City, we want to stand out as stars in the eyes of every citizen, business owner and visitor. This means that their experience with Cleburne must be superior,” she said. “We’re proud of Tina for displaying customer service excellence and being a part of the reason why Cleburne is a great place to be.”
The All-Star Award is usually given out monthly. Anyone can submit a nomination by contacting the employee’s department. Each All-Star winner for the fiscal year is put into the running to become the City’s Superstar, which is the highest recognition in the STARS program.
