Cleburne Councilman Elected as County Judge

Councilman Chris Boedeker

Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem Christopher Boedeker will be moving on to another elected position at the start of the new year.

Boedeker won his election to become Johnson County Judge in May. His last date serving on the Cleburne City Council will be Dec. 31.

At the Dec. 13 council meeting, councilmembers and city administration gave a farewell to Boedeker. They noted that although he will be a county judge now, he will never be too far away.

"He's very loving of his community and his family,” said councilmember Mike Mann. “We're happy to have him in our community and serving in our government."

Mayor Scott Cain, Councilman John Warren and Councilman Derek Weathers shared those sentiments. They said they are excited to continue working in partnership with Boedeker in his new role for the betterment of the community.

Councilman Mann was appointed as the new mayor pro tem in Boedeker’s place, which will be effective Jan. 1.
