In accordance with the Water Conservation and Drought Contingency Plan, the City of Cleburne remains in Stage II "winter" drought conditions.
Please be advised that landscape watering with sprinklers or irrigation systems for residential and business properties is not allowed at any time. The use of well water, treated wastewater (effluent) or other alternative water supply sources for irrigation is exempt from this restriction. Hand watering is still allowed.
Non-essential water use remains prohibited, which includes but is not limited to using water in such a manner that causes runoff or other waste. Read more details in the Water Conversation and Drought Contingency Plan. (Drought contingency measures begin on page 51).
Should the City remain in Stage II drought conditions, these seasonal restrictions will last until April 1.
The City of Cleburne will adhere to the same watering restrictions.
The Sports Complex is irrigated using treated wastewater (effluent), which is recycled and not suitable for human consumption. The golf course has reduced irrigation of the green and tee boxes by 75%. All other areas of the golf course have reduced water irrigation by 100%.
Please be aware that with a continued lack of precipitation, the City will be close to entering Stage III drought conditions, which would further restrict water usage. Please visit the Drought Information Center webpage for more information about the current drought status and water conservation measures. All updates will be provided on that webpage.
