Crews Working to Pick Up Brush Caused by Storm

Brush Pickup

The City of Cleburne experienced significant tree damage around the community due to the storms that occurred over the weekend. In an effort to remove downed limbs and other vegetative debris caused by the storm, sanitation crews will be working extensively to get the brush cleared away across the City while performing the regularly scheduled sanitation, bulk and brush pickups.

Residents who need brush taken away can leave it on their curb, and it will be removed as quickly as possible. Please note that brush piles that have non-vegetative materials in them, such as unrelated bulk, trash or other debris materials, will not be able to be processed and will be subject to getting left on the curb as this additional service is for brush only.

To accommodate for the brush removal, the City has dispatched its reserve grapple truck, along with the normal brush truck, to collect downed limbs that are placed at the curb. City crews will also be using dump trucks to aid in the removal process.

Crews will be working extended hours to ensure that the normal level of service is maintained while providing this additional brush removal service. The Citywide brush pickup will likely take a few weeks to complete, so we appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to better serve the community.

Residents can also take their brush to the Transfer Station at no cost with the proof of a Cleburne utility bill. The station is located on 2625 Pipeline Rd. Learn more about the Transfer Station here.

Buddy Stewart Park Closed

For the safety of the public, the main entrance of Buddy Stewart Park will remain closed. Because of the storm, there is a lot of debris and weakened trees that could pose a risk.

Crews are currently working to make the area safe again. If there are no unforeseen circumstances, the park—or portions of the park—is expected to reopen a week after the contracted work begins. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
