The City of Cleburne's STARS program recognizes staff members who go above and beyond to help serve the community. The latest recipient of the All-Star Award is Jeff Fagan, one of the City’s sanitation route operators.
Fagan started working for the City of Cleburne nine years ago. He can usually be spotted as he rides around town picking up trash or bulk items. Fagan goes the extra mile to ensure that the community stays clean and that he provides the best customer service.
Those who nominated him noted that he got out of his truck during a route to help an elderly woman cut out a dead shrub from her yard. After using tools and some elbow grease, he was able to dig up the shrub and put it in the back of his truck.
“Jeff leads with kindness, and he is always looking for ways to help others,” said Jeremy Hutt, director of public works. “He’s a true asset to our team, and he is more than deserving of this award.”
For his outstanding work and exceptional service, Fagan received a City shirt and $50 gift card.
The All-Star Award is usually given out monthly. Anyone can submit a nomination by contacting the employee’s department.
Each All-Star winner for the fiscal year is then put into the running to become the City’s Superstar, which is the highest recognition in the STARS program.
