Detours and Closures for the Dec. 1 Christmas Parade

Whistle Stop Christmas Parade

The community is invited to come out to Cleburne Chamber of Commerce’s Whistle Stop Lighted Christmas Parade on Friday, Dec. 1 in Downtown Cleburne.

Please plan your alternate routes in advance as the roadways throughout the area will start closing at 5:30 p.m. The parade will start at 6:30 p.m. (See the map below.)

The Cleburne Police Department will have officers at major intersections diverting traffic, so please be courteous. The goal is to keep the parade safe and fun for all.

Local Detour Route

  • All northbound local traffic turns onto E. 2nd Street and diverts to Anglin Street.
  • All southbound local traffic turns onto E. Willingham Street and diverts to Anglin Street.
  • All eastbound local traffic turns onto Buffalo Street and diverts to W. Willingham Street.
  • All westbound local traffic turns onto N. Anglin Street and diverts to E. Willingham Street.
  • No trucks are permitted on local roads

Truck Plan

  • Commercial vehicles will queue on state roads for duration of the parade (approximately one hour).
