The City of Cleburne's STARS program recognizes staff members who go above and beyond to help serve the community. The latest recipient of the All-Star Award is Justin Medenwaldt, the meter crew leader for the city’s water division.
Medenwaldt has served the City of Cleburne for more than 16 years. He actually worked for the city as a teenager in the sanitation division and later returned as a meter reader. He said he truly loves what he does and likes being able to help people in any way he can.
Medenwaldt was nominated for the All-Star Award because he has been able to maintain the radio meter reading system at optimal performance for the City since the system was installed in 2009. He is also great with customers and willing to go the extra mile.
“Justin is always willing to help the citizens of Cleburne with any issues they may have with water meter leaks or other meter issues,” said Ron Taylor, water distribution supervisor. “He is a team player and is willing to help at any time, even after hours.”
For his outstanding work and exceptional service, Medenwaldt received a City shirt and $50 gift card.
The All-Star Award is usually given out monthly. Anyone can submit a nomination by contacting the employee’s department.
Each All-Star winner for the fiscal year is then put into the running to become the City’s Superstar, which is the highest recognition in the STARS program.
