The Municipal Court of Record strives to:
  • Serve the community through the promotion of justice
  • Provide an impartial forum for the resolution of all cases brought before the Court
  • Protect the public interest
  • Safeguard the legal rights of individuals 

Court Staff & Responsibilities

The Municipal Court of Record has jurisdiction over Class C misdemeanor offenses issued in the City limits of Cleburne by:
  • City police officers
  • Animal control officers
  • Code enforcement officers
  • The City Fire Marshal.

Clerks are not licensed attorneys and cannot provide legal advice.
The clerk's office is responsible for processing the clerical work of the Municipal Court of Record, collecting court fines/fees and perform administrative duties delegated by the Municipal Court Judge.

 A New Change is just around the corner... Cleburne Municipal Court will soon be open during lunch for your convienence!

Effective October 1, 2014, the Cleburne Municipal Court of Record will be changing their hours of operation. The new business hours will be Monday through Friday 8am-4pm.

We will no longer be closed during the lunch hour. This schedule change was due to an overwhelming request from the citizens of Cleburne that want to conduct their court business during lunch.
