The Cleburne Public Library invites teens, parents and other community members to participate in “Teen Trivia Night: Are You Smarter than a Librarian?” on October 12 at 6:30 PM. Area teens can sign up to be on a team to compete in a friendly competition against the Cleburne Public Library librarians (Tina, Library Director and Susan, Children's and Teen Librarian). Teens may choose to compete or just watch; however, all are welcome to join in the fun to cheer everyone on! Teens who wish to compete should call the library at 817-645-0934 to reserve a spot on a team. There will be prizes and refreshments. This is a FREE event!

P.D. Lacewell park, located off Granbury Street, has a mural that has fallen on disrepair. The Cleburne VFW will be working with the Parks and Recreation Department to revitalize the mural into something the city can be proud of. The event will celebrate all veterans within the community.
We will be doing a cleanup at the park, as well as, adding some new amenities.
Volunteers are welcome help with our project list and/or donate monetarily to the event (any monetary donations will need to be coordinated through the VFW group)
The Parks and Recreation Department will be serving hot dogs, chips, and drinks at the event for lunch. For volunteer opportunities / general information contact the City of Cleburne Parks and Recreation Department at (817) 645-0949.
