Mayor Justin Hewlett

Justin Hewlett is currently serving his first term as Mayor. Mayor Hewlett and his wife Sydney have 4 grown children, Ryan Noel, an attorney, Justin Dax who is serving in the Army Special Forces, Tyler Rashell, a CPA, and Zachary Ross, a senior at Texas A&M University. Sydney is a partner in the law firm of Shannon, Gracey, Ratliff and Miller. The Hewletts are members of Granbury Street Church of Christ.

Business and Professional

• Mayor Hewlett received his Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Texas A&M University in 1981. He also taught an operations class for 8 years at the Texas Tech School of Banking from 1988 – 1996; “Key Operational Topics” for 6 years at the Texas Bankers Operations School from 1990 – 1996; and “Current Operational Issues” at the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU in 1999.

• He was employed in the banking field until 1987 when he founded Hewlett Computer Services, Inc., providing data processing, check processing and backroom services to community banks. The company sold in 1998.
• Mayor Hewlett is currently a partner with Henway Systems, a software development and consulting company that deals exclusively with financial institutions and is the owner of Hewlett Office Systems, LLC, which he founded in 2005.

Civic and Community

• Mayor Hewlett is also involved in many civic organizations including United Way of Johnson County, where he served as Campaign Chairman for 2009 campaign and President for 2010. He has also served on the Community Education Board of Directors from 2005 – 2008 and the Cleburne Independent School District Board from 1990 to 1996, serving as President in 1996. He served 2 terms on the City Airport Board and has served on the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
