The Cleburne Police Department's Operations Division is commanded by Assistant Chief Linn Goodman. This division consists of Patrol, Reserves, Traffic, SWAT/Crisis Negotiators, and K9.
About Assistant Chief Linn Goodman
Chief Goodman joined the Cleburne Police Department in June 2004 after previously serving with the Fort Worth Police Department, Tarrant County Hospital District Police Department and the Johnson County Sheriff's Office. In 2006, he was promoted to Corporal. In 2014, Chief Goodman was promoted to Sergeant and was assigned to the Professional Standards Unit. In 2015, he was promoted to Lieutenant and reassigned to the Operations Division where he served as a patrol shift commander. In 2017, he was appointed as the Assistant Chief of Operations.
In addition to his duties as the Assistant Chief of Operations, Chief Goodman serves as Assistant Emergency Management Coordinator, is a Law Enforcement Subject Matter Expert serving on the Regional Emergency Preparedness Advisory Committee at the North Central Texas Council of Governments, is a representative on the Johnson County Radio Advisory Board, and is a member of the Fort Worth Regional Radio System Interoperability Committee.
