Assistant Chief of Support

The Cleburne Police Department's Support Division is commanded by Assistant Chief Linn Goodman. This division consists of Criminal Investigations, Community Services, Records and Crime Scene/Property.

Assistant Chief Linn Goodman

Chief Goodman joined the Cleburne Police Department in June 2004 after previously serving with the Fort Worth Police Department, Tarrant County Hospital District Police Department and the Johnson County Sheriff's Office. In 2006, he was promoted to Corporal. In 2014, Chief Goodman was promoted to Sergeant and was assigned to the Professional Standards Unit. In 2015, he was promoted to Lieutenant and reassigned to the Operations Division where he served as a patrol shift commander. In 2017, he was appointed Assistant Chief.

Chief Goodman has previously served on the Regional Emergency Preparedness Advisory Committee at the North Central Texas Council of Governments and currently is a member of the Johnson County Radio Advisory Board and is the chairman of the Fort Worth Regional Radio System Interoperability Committee. Chief Goodman is a graduate of Tarleton State University where he earned a Bachelor of Applied Sciences degree in Criminal Justice Administration and he is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
