Death on the Nile
By Agatha Christie
Death on the Nile is one of Agatha Christie’s best-known novels. In it, the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot is taking a boat trip in Egypt when one of his fellow passengers, the beautiful but arrogant Linnet Doyle, is shot dead. As the boat continues on its journey, Poirot knows that the murderer must be one of the guests and, what is more, that they are still at large, ready to strike again to preserve their secret…
The novel remains popular and has inspired numerous adaptations, including a theater adaptation scripted by Christie. A further film adaptation has been scheduled for release in 2020, following the success of 20th Century Fox’s 2017 adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express.
