The Cleburne Police Department's Operations Division is commanded by Assistant Chief Craig Huskey. The division consists of
Patrol,
Reserve Officers, Emergency Response Team,
Code Compliance and the
Traffic Unit.
About Assistant Chief Craig Huskey
Chief Huskey has been a member of the Cleburne Police Department since April 2000. He was assigned to the S.T.O.P. Narcotics Task Force from 2003 to 2006 as a narcotics and special crimes investigator. In 2007, he promoted to the rank of Corporal and was assigned as a Motorcycle Officer. In August 2014, Chief Huskey promoted to Sergeant and returned to the Patrol Division until being assigned as the Professional Standards Sergeant from January 2015 to August 2017. He returned to the Patrol Division in 2017 when he promoted to Lieutenant and served as a Patrol Shift Commander. Chief Huskey was promoted to Assistant Chief of Operations in February 2020. During his time at the Cleburne Police Department, Chief Huskey has also served on the department's Emergency Response Team (13 years) and on the Crash Investigation Team (12 years).
Chief Huskey has a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Tarleton State University, where he is also working toward a Master of Criminal Justice Degree.
