Amelia Makes Another Flight
Honolulu, Jan. 11 (U.P.) - Amelia Earhart Putnam will take off late today in her red monoplane on a 2,400 mile flight across the Pacific Ocean to Oakland, California, if the weather is favorable the United Press learned from reliable sources.
Although there was no official announcement of Miss Earhart’s plans the United Press source of information was considered authoritative.
The plane is red. The flyer and her husband, George Putnam, the publisher, are in seclusion.
According to present plans the take-off will be made sometime this afternoon if weather and other conditions are favorable for a flight which required 15 hours in a similar type plane two months ago.
