Performing Arts Center Renaming Ceremony

The Performing Arts Center at the Cleburne Conference Center has been renamed the Richard “Dick” Helmcamp Community Performing Arts Center.

The Performing Arts Center at the Cleburne Conference Center has been renamed the Richard “Dick” Helmcamp Community Performing Arts Center. The public ceremony to commemorate this renaming will take place Friday, June 9 at 6 p.m. at the center. 

Helmcamp was a community icon who left an impactful legacy in Cleburne and beyond of enriching many lives through the arts. He was a longtime band director at Cleburne High School before retiring and becoming part of the Greater Cleburne Carnegie Players theater group. He passed away in February 2022 but will not be forgotten.
