Cleburne orders address residential gathering, grocery stores

The City of Cleburne has issued Orders 4 and 5 to protect the community’s health during the Coronavirus pandemic.

The orders address residential gathering and grocery stores.

The new order introduces the following regulations:

  • No guests may be present at a residence if there are more than 10 people total gathering in or on the property. This does not affect people who are living in the house, which is governed by City Code.
  • Grocery stores must provide a way to sanitize carts and baskets at entry points, post a list of all reasonable limits of purchases at entry points, and ensure social distancing.

The new rules are in addition to what has been previously ordered. Order 4 had a regulation about exclusive shopping hours, which was removed in Order 5 to allow Cleburne store owners the ability to best manager their customers needs.

These went into effect on March 25, 2020
