The City of Cleburne and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne are partnering to bring free drive-thru COVID-19 testing to the community starting May 4.
The free testing will be available to Cleburne and Johnson County residents from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning May 4, at the Cleburne Senior Center, 1212 Glenwood Drive.
Free testing is by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling 817-645-0964.
What are the requirements to be tested?
This program is only open to those with proof of residency for Cleburne or Johnson County. The requirements to be tested include have been in close contact with a known active COVID-19 patient or have at least one symptom associated with COVID-19 such as coughing, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
What does it cost?
The test will be administered for free.
How long should I plan to be at the testing center?
Attendees can plan to be at the drive-thru testing center for 10-15 minutes to allow for paperwork and testing.
How is the test administered?
The testing is done by a swab through the nasal passage.
Do I need to wear a mask?
Those showing symptoms are asked to wear a mask to protect the health of the staff administering the test.
When will I get my results?
The result turnaround for the test is about 72 hours.
