Improvements are coming to the Cleburne Transfer Station that aim to better operations and reduce wait times.
Crews have begun construction to add self-service stations for small household loads to the sanitation facility located at 2625 Pipeline Road. The changes will improve operations across the board but provide immediate improvement to residents with typical household loads. By separating smaller loads from the large commercial traffic at the facility, there will be benefits in overall operations and safety, as well as reduced wait times for everyone.
The Transfer Station will also streamline the processes for recycling and larger load drop-offs, including reducing the amount of check-ins.
Construction is anticipated to last through March 2022. Because the work is outside of the current facility, city staff expects limited to no service impacts.
