Cleburne Library Receives Another $25,000 Grant

Library Grant for Archiving

The Cleburne Public Library received another $25,000 grant to digitize old local newspapers to make it easier to search for specific articles online. The grant is provided by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

With this latest grant, the library will be able to digitize Cleburne Times-Review articles from 1956 through 1969. Previous grants allowed for the archive of articles from 1918 through 1955.

The materials will be a combination of bound original newspapers and microfilm and will provide free access to all issues of the City’s newspapers for those researching events and individuals in Cleburne and the surrounding communities.
