We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday season. As the year comes to an end, please note the hours of operation for the City of Cleburne’s municipal facilities and services.
City administrative buildings will be closed Dec. 23-26 in observance of the Christmas holiday and closed Jan. 2 in observance of New Year’s Day.
Below is the schedule for sanitation services, parks and recreation facilities and the library.
Sanitation Services
- Christmas holiday: Sanitation routes will run as usual for the Christmas holiday. The Transfer Station will be open Friday, Dec. 23 and closed Dec. 24-26.
- New Year’s holiday: Sanitation routes will run as usual for the New Year’s holiday. The Transfer Station will be closed on Monday, Jan. 2.
Parks and Recreation Facilities
(Weather note: Restrooms at Hulen Park, Carver Park and Market Square will be closed and winterized for the duration of the subfreezing temperatures. Tentatively, the closure will be from Dec. 22 through Dec. 26. Restrooms will reopen when temperatures moderate.)
- Booker T. Washington Recreation Center
- Christmas holiday: Open Christmas Eve from 8 a.m. to noon. Closed on Christmas Day. Open Monday, Dec. 26 from 1 to 6 p.m.
- New Year’s holiday: Open New Year's Eve from 8 a.m. to noon. Open normal hours (1 to 6 p.m.) on New Year’s Day.
- Splash Station
- Christmas holiday: Closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Open Monday, Dec. 26 from 8 a.m. to noon.
(Mechanical note: Splash Station will be closed on Friday, Dec. 23 due to mechanical issues. Please call ahead to ensure the facility is reopen.) - New Year’s holiday: Closed on New Year's Eve.
- Museums and Senior Center
- Christmas holiday: Closed Friday, Dec. 23. Closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
- New Year’s holiday: Closed on New Year's Eve, New Year’s Day and Monday, Jan. 2.
- Golf Links
- Christmas holiday: Closed on Christmas Day
(Weather note: Because of the freezing temperatures, staff at the Cleburne Golf Links have covered the greens to protect them. The current plan is to close the golf course until the morning of Monday, Dec. 26.)
Cleburne Public Library
- Christmas holiday: Closed Dec. 23-26.
- New Year’s holiday: Closed on New Year's Eve, New Year’s Day and Monday, Jan. 2.
