The City of Cleburne's STARS program recognizes staff members who go above and beyond to help serve the community. The latest recipient of the All-Star Award is Tristen Riggins, airport operations attendant.
Riggins started working at the Cleburne Regional Airport in August 2022 and hit the ground running. Airport guests immediately noted her professionalism and friendly face. Her colleagues said she is a self-starter with a passion for customer service. It’s her grace under fire after a small aircraft engine fire started that specifically got her nominated for the award.
“Tristen was quick to respond to the emergency,” said Garrett Watson, interim airport manager. ”While she followed protocol perfectly, she also did so in a calm and quick manner that ensured everyone involved was safe. We are proud of her and her commitment to helping our airport be the best and safest around.”
Riggins received a City shirt and $50 gift card for winning the award.
The All-Star Award is usually given out monthly. Anyone can submit a nomination by contacting the employee’s department. Each All-Star winner for the fiscal year is then put into the running to become the City’s Superstar, which is the highest recognition in the STARS program.
