The City of Cleburne's STARS program recognizes staff members who go above and beyond to help serve the community. The latest recipient of the All-Star Award is Austin Nguyen, a water distribution operator.
Nguyen has been with the City for less than a year, but he’s already proven to be a great team member. As new federal lead and copper rules are released, he has volunteered his time to conduct significant research and work to ensure that the proper measures are being taken prior to the required deadline.
“Austin has taken on this task and is leading the charge in preparation for the new regulations,” said Jeremy Hutt, director of public works. “He is a great value to the team and helps out wherever needed.”
For his outstanding work and exceptional service, Nguyen received a City shirt and $50 gift card for winning the All-Star Award.
The award is usually given out monthly. Anyone can submit a nomination by contacting the employee’s department. Each All-Star winner for the fiscal year is then put into the running to become the City’s Superstar, which is the highest recognition in the STARS program.
