The City of Cleburne's STARS program recognizes staff members who do outstanding work and offer extraordinary service to better serve the community. The latest recipient of the All-Star Award is Dewayne Bellah, a water treatment plant operator.
Crew members at the water treatment plant are very dedicated and cover 24/7 shifts, which includes holidays. Bellah was nominated for the award because he is a dependable staff member who makes himself available any hour of the day to offer support.
“Dewayne Bellah can be called and will cover and work any shift or time,” the nominated stated. “He is always ensuring that the water plant has the supplies, chemicals and staffing needed to complete the mission that the public has entrusted in the department.”
The nomination went on to state that Bellah has maintained this level of excellence, even when working long hours under difficult situations, for his nearly 20 years of service.
For winning the All-Star Award, Bellah received a City shirt and $50 gift card to a Cleburne establishment.
The All-Star award is usually given out monthly. Anyone can submit a nomination by contacting the employee’s department. Each All-Star winner for the fiscal year is then put into the running to become the City’s Superstar, which is the highest recognition in the STARS program.
