Labor Day is an annual celebration of the social and economic achievements of American workers. It is held on the first Monday of September.
City administrative buildings will be closed Monday, Sept. 4 in observance of Labor Day. Sanitation routes and emergency services will operate as usual.
Below is the schedule for sanitation services, parks and recreation facilities and the library.
Sanitation Services
- Sanitation routes will run as usual. The Transfer Station will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4.
Parks and Recreation Facilities
- Booker T. Washington Recreation Center: Open normal hours throughout the weekend. Monday hours will still be 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Splash Station: Labor Day hours are Saturday from noon to 7 p.m., Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m., and Monday from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday will be the last day of the summer season.
- Museums: Closed on Saturday, Sept. 2. The museum is always closed on Mondays.
- Senior Center: Closed on Monday, Sept. 4.
- Golf Links: Open normal hours on Monday, Sept. 4.
Cleburne Public Library
- The library will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4.
