Get Involved by Joining a City Board or Commission

Citizen Meeting

The City of Cleburne’s Boards and Commissions provide City Council with informed public opinions, thoughts and ideas from various viewpoints that help shape the city.

The members of city boards and commissions play a vital role in the future of Cleburne.

There are currently positions open to volunteer on the following boards:

  • Building and Standards Commission
  • Cemetery Advisory Board
  • Civil Service Commission
  • Museum Advisory Board
  • Zoning Board of Adjustment

Applications are accepted yearround. Board appointments are made in June and December. Appointments are two-year terms, except where noted.

Most applicants must reside within the City of Cleburne, be a registered voter and be willing to attend regularly scheduled meetings. Meetings are open to the public.
