1. What are the hours of operation for city parks?

Per city ordinance the parks are open to the public 7 days a week between the hours of 7:00 am and 12:00 midnight, unless otherwise posted by the Park and Recreation Board. Quiet hours begin at 10pm. Overnight camping is not permitted in any park facility.

2. Do I need to reserve the pavilions at the park?

Pavilions are for public use on a first come first serve basis, however you may reserve a pavilion at no charge by calling (817) 556-8858 or by visiting the Booker T. Washington Recreation Center.

3. Which structures at the Cleburne parks am I allowed to reserve?

We currently reserve the big pavilions at Hulen Park (Heritage Pavilion on Hillsboro Street and Kimbro Heritage Pavilion on Westhill Street), the gazebo at Hulen Park,  and the big pavilion at Carver Park.

4. How much does it cost to reserve a pavillion?

There is no charge to reserve a pavillion.

5. Is there electricity at the pavilions?

There is electricity at the two large pavilions and the gazebo at Hulen Park as well as the pavilion at Carver Park. The electricity runs on a timer and is only on during park hours (7:00am-12:00midnight)

6. Are there on site water connections at city parks?

There is no water available at the parks with the exception of restrooms and water fountains.

7. What if someone is using the pavilion that I have reserved?

For problems please call police dispatch (817) 645-0972. We also ask that you have on hand the permit issued to you at the time you made the reservation for verification of your reservation date/time/place.

8. Can I host a special event at the park?

Yes, however all special events must receive prior approval from the Police Department and the Park and Recreation Department. A special event application must be filled out and turned in to the police department, depending on the type of special event, you may be required to provide liability insurance for your event. 9. Can I reserve the softball fields?

Yes, Don Moore Field and Carver Field are available for reservation. This can be done by calling (817) 556-8858 or in person at the Booker T. Washington Recreation Center.

10. How much does it cost to reserve a softball field?

There is no cost to reserve Don Moore or Carver Field, however if you wish to have the field lights turned on during your reservation there is a fee of $35 per hour, or if you wish to have the field prepped including lining the fields, dragging, and the like there is a fee of $150. These fees must be paid at least 48 hours before your reservation date.

11. Can I bring a grill to cook out at the park?

Yes, grills are allowed as long as they have a cover to contain them. Grills cannot be used under the pavilions or gazebo.

12. Are bouncehouses allowed at the park?

Yes, you can bring a bouncehouse for private event reservations at the parks, however if you are holding a special event which is open to the public further approval may be required. All bounce houses are required to have their own generator to supply power to the bounce house.

13. Is it ok to play music at the parks?

Music is allowed, however all music must be turned off by 10:00pm.

14. Can I bring my pet to the park?

Yes, household pets are allowed as long as they are kept on a leash.

15. Can I have non household animals/petting zoo at the park?

No, only household pets are allowed at the parks permitting they are contained on a leash.

16. Can I bring a 4-wheeler or small ride along train to the park for my kids?

No, this is not allowed.
